ROSE GUERIN

ARTIST BIO

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Rose Guerin, originally from Chilmark, Massachusetes was born into a musically diverse family, and artistic community, spawned from the Cambridge folk scene of the 1960's.
Early years were spent on stages across the U.S., backing her ‘uncle’ Jim Kweskin of jug band fame. Guerin has worked as a musician for the majority of her life, living and performing in cities across Europe and the U.S., performing with a myriad of musical acts and touring for decade with indie-pop band, Vandaveer, and boasts a solid recording career, most prominently backing up Ringo Starr on his 2017 release, Give More Love. Her first solo record will be released in 2022.

Since returning to her island home of Martha’s Vineyard in 2011, Rose has continued performing and writing music locally and abroad and is dedicated to using the tools she has learned as a career musician to highlight community needs through her music. In 2017, with Kelly Feirtag, Guerin co-founded LADYFEST, an offseason festival and 501c3 non-profit, celebrating female-fueled music and raising funds and awareness for CONNECT, a dual domestic violence program and rape crisis center.
